The Abrigo Ohana Needs Your Kokua (Help)!
Tim Abrigo, a master mechanic and the father of the three very talented keiki known as the Abrigo Ohana (Timi, Emily and Quinn), suffered an injury at work in February. He has been in severe pain and unable to walk since the injury, and the family desperately needs your help!

Tim is the sole provider for the family - mom Lanet home schools the children, makes their performance outfits, takes care of the busy household, and is now providing the 24 hour care Tim needs. Although CT scan results show no permanent damage and the doctors expect Tim to recover eventually, they have no idea how long it will take.

The family, still struggling to make ends meet after moving from Maui back to O'ahu in August 2008 (for Tim's job), has NO savings, is behind on their mortgage payments and other bills, and can't even afford to fill their propane tank (their only source of hot water). They are still waiting to hear if Tim might qualify for any type of disability payment, they're using the services of a food bank, and they're looking into any other forms of assistance that might be available, but they've had no income since Tim's injury.

Tim is an extraordinarily dedicated family man, and a very hard worker - someone who worked long hours to provide for his family, and who is now suffering due to his current inability to provide for them.

The children would love to help by performing their traditional Hawaiian music and earning money to help pay the family's bills, but paid performances have been few and far between since they moved from Maui. (For those who've heard them, you know these kids are TALENTED!)

The family has never before asked for help, nor did they ask this time - when we heard about their plight, we couldn't stand by and do nothing, and that's where YOU come in!

Please consider making a donation to help them in their time of need. It doesn't need to be large - even $5 will help! All donations made through this site will go directly into their PayPal account. If you can't afford a monetary donation, that's ok - please keep the family in your thoughts and prayers, and send them all the positive energy you can! Mahalo nui loa for your kokua!

NOTE: If you would like to donate to help the Abrigos but would prefer not to do it online, you may also mail a check!

Please make the check payable to: LANET ABRIGO
